Structured Family Caregiving (SFC)

The Structured Family Caregiving program provides opportunity for family of Medicaid eligible members of the community to earn a stipend (Financial support) while providing care and support to their loved ones.

To qualify (as a member)

  • Member must be 18yrs or older
  • Must be Medicaid approved under CCSP or SOURCE waiver
  • Lives with family member caregiver
  • Require at least 5 hours of personal care

To qualify (as a caregiver)

  • Must be 18yrs or older
  • Be related to member biologically or by marriage (daughter, son,
  • grandson, granddaughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, etc.)
  • Must live in the home with member

NOTE: Caregiver cannot be a spouse or legal guardian of the member

Tasks to be completed by family caregiver

  • Personal care
  • Meal preparation
  • Housekeeping
  • Transportation
  • And other required tasks
